Propane Stove & Oven Instructions

Welcome! Our range is a propane/gas stove, which operates a little differently than a standard electric stove.
Please review the instructions below before use.

 

Stove Top Burners

The first four knobs control the burners above them.

To Light a Burner:

  1. Push the knob inward slightly.

  2. Turn counterclockwise toward the flame/high setting.

  3. You will hear a clicking sound while the igniter lights the burner.

  4. Once lit, continue holding the knob in for 2–3 seconds.

  5. Release and adjust the flame as needed.

Important Notes:

  • A normal flame should appear blue.

  • If the burner does not ignite within a few seconds:

    • Turn the knob fully OFF.

    • Wait approximately 30 seconds for gas to clear.

    • Try again.

 Oven Instructions

The far-right knob controls the oven temperature.

To Turn On the Oven:

  1. Push the oven knob inward.

  2. Turn to the desired temperature.

  3. Continue holding the knob in for approximately 5–10 seconds while the igniter lights.

  4. Release the knob once ignition occurs.

Please Note:

  • The oven heat comes from beneath the lower panel inside the oven.

  • These propane ovens typically heat more gradually than electric ovens.

  • During preheating, it may initially seem like the oven is not warming up even though it is operating normally.

The red “Oven Temp” light will illuminate during preheating and cycle on/off during operation.

 Broil Function

To use the broiler:

  1. Push and hold the oven knob inward.

  2. Turn to the BROIL setting.

  3. Continue holding briefly until ignition occurs.

 If You Smell Propane

A brief propane smell during ignition can occasionally occur. However, if you notice a strong or continuous smell of gas:

  1. Turn the appliance OFF immediately.

  2. Open a window if needed.

  3. Wait a few minutes before retrying.

For safety reasons, please do not pull the stove away from the wall, unplug the appliance, or disconnect/turn off propane lines unless instructed by staff or in the case of an emergency.
